The PIR sensor operates particularly properly. It scans each five seconds reacts extremely quickly. I ordered added sensors to compliment the Air Alarm kit I ordered. The adjustability of the mounting makes it quick to aim once a mounting place is chosen.
Of the 3 sensors, there is one that appears to have one undesirable trait. I am unsure if it is unique to that sensor or if it is for the reason that it is in a high site visitors location or negative luck with 9V batteries. The PIR scans each and every five seconds according the manual and when it detects movement, it glows red. The sensor in question has utilised three 9V batteries because it was mounted. The original battery did not last fairly lengthy and I assumed it was mainly because it was a no name battery included with the unit. The second lasted three months and it did not glow "white" when the battery is low according to the manual. The red LED merely would was not as brilliant as regular (it was a 9V that I had, but tested "fine" with the battery tester prior to installed- so it could have been just undesirable luck with two batteries). It is on it's third battery in six months. That is the only concern that has come up because the installation and so far just with one of the 3 PIR sensors. The Air Alarm and sensors are not even one particular year old but, but the PIR does operate as stated.
When these perform, they are excellent. I currently have 5 installed, and typically speaking, they function appropriately. Nonetheless, of the eight total that I have ordered, I have had troubles with 3: 1 would not turn on at all, a single looked like it was turned on but would not detect motion, and the third a single detects motion inconsistently. I'm returning the two that don't perform at all (through Amazon) I'll update the overview if there are any challenges with the return.
