UPDATE:
The technique is wonderful. No difficulties. I use VOIP Vonage for my residence telephone and it works good on out going alerts from the AAS 100 safety technique, but on incoming calls the Vonage answering service will answer and I can't dial into the AAS 100. SO....I purchased the VOIP Grandstream Handystream 286 adapter from Amazon went to CallCentric and signed up for their VOIP telephone . Its excellent for a alarm method for the reason that it will dial out and I can now call in to my alarm. Expense? $1.95 per month. Outstanding! If anybody finds a superior VOIP supply let me know!
Second update:
Discovered out my dog can set off the motion detectors. No situation, raised the pointing angle and now my pug does not set off the alarm. My wife and I set it each and every time we go out. Even with the dog at residence. Adore this method.
Third update Feb 2011:
Method still operating fantastic. Had to replace the 9V batteries for two of the motion detectors, so I would say they last about 6 months. I replaced the batteries on all the units anyway. Very easy to do, and I did not have to reprogram any of them. Amazon has some outstanding offers on 9V Alkaline batteries. I also dropped my VOIP CallCentric and I just use the Vonage VOIP. No want for two systems, I by no means had to dial into the security technique, no false alarms!
Had this alarm method for the last two months. Also, bought the GSM Cellular Module, for the reason that I do not have a land-line.
