Also, nightvision would be an excellent addition. But this device wasn't designed for that and I do not subtract something for those .
On the other hand, the image excellent on the viewer I got is a bit grainy, probably it is considering that I have mainly utilised it in lower light with just a porch light.

As far as installation, it took me about 30 minutes. I suspect it could have gone quicker, but for some deficiencies in the documentation. Maybe it was just me, but it wasn't that clear in the directions that you had to remove the plate initially, and the diagrams and figures did not show clearly how the viewer attaches to the door. Once again, your mileage may very well vary, but it seemed like it could have been made clearer with a greater diagram.
Also, the directions were definitely wrong as far as camera orientation. I had to turn the camera component till the red arrow was pointed nearly 180 degrees in the other path indicated in the instructions, which indicates now it is not genuinely that tight in the door. When I have a few minutes, I will almost certainly take it out and re-seat it.
An additional problem I had with the instructions is that my door was a little thicker, so the plate would not appropriately align to the back of the camera piece till I started to screw on the base. That just created me a small confused on if probably had the alignment of the door plate incorrect, since the figure showing how the plate attaches to the door is not that excellent to begin with.
Still I am pleased with the device. Currently I have been in a position to use the device to show an individual at the door to my children. So while I have kept my old peephole just in case, I consider the Cannon Peephole Viewer is a definite keeper.
