I bought these to put on our back sliding doors so I'd know when the youngsters went outside. I like the chime feature, its loud adequate to hear through most of the home. They go on so quickly, and are inexpensive. The alarm feature is LOUD...so they'd work superb for that purpose, as well. There is also an off switch, so that's good.
I read the other critiques prior to posting this 1. In the very first assessment, the poster stated the alarm was loud enough to hear, in most of the house. I believe that is a perfectly accurate statement.
The cause, I am only giving these alarms an average rating (three star) is considering that I want to be in a position to hear an alarm all through all the complete home! I want the alarm to be loud sufficient to wake me in a dead sleep, from the other side of the home! I want an intrusion alarm to be loud enough to wake my neighbors (and there is NO way these alarms will)!
The package claimed the alarms were 120 db. As a person who is familiar with decibels, I can guaranty these alrms are NOWHERE near 120 db!
